Representatives from the CoPropel project consortium were in attendance at JEC World 2025 in Paris.
JEC World is a global exhibition and conference for the composites industry, which took place 4-6 March, 2025 and covering the latest innovations, trends and challenges in composites materials, applications and sustainability.

The project team were able to display one of the first-ever composite propellers made in Europe. This propeller offers a number of advantages including lighter weight and lower electric signal and acoustic properties than traditional propellers. Despite the light weight of the propeller it has a high fatigue resistance and reduced cavitation as well as offering a 12-15% drop in energy consumption, leading to a lower environmental footprint.
This project has received funding from Horizon Europe under grant agreement 101056911 and from Innovate UK under grant agreement 10037872
